Visit Special School@ Chengdu

Children’s Day is a popular holiday in China.
Starbucks Chengdu did a volunteer activity on Children’s Day to honor our partner Cathy Tan who was missing from the earthquake.
We chose to support he Chengdu School of Special Education.
The school provides housing and classes for 365 students who are blind, deaf or have mild mental handicaps.

The donation from the Starbucks China Club in Seattle was supplemented by Starbucks GC.
The school had requested new face clothes and toothbrushes for the students.
We made sure to add a Starbucks lollipop for each kid too. It was after all, Children’s Day.
Each of the 365 children who live a the school received their own gift wrapped with a festive red ribbon.
