Special Provisions For The Starbucks "Say It With Starbucks" Social Gifting Platform
(Effective as of May 8, 2017)
1. Overview
1.1 These Special Provisions for the Starbucks “Say It with Starbucks” Social Gifting Platform (the “Special Provisions”) are hereby formulated to regulate the registration of a My Starbucks Rewards account (the “MSR Account”) by a Starbucks Gift Card holder (“you”) via the card he/she purchased or received at the Starbucks “Say It with Starbucks” Social Gifting Platform (the “Say It with Starbucks Platform”), and to specify the restrictions on the membership benefits he/she is entitled to.
1.2 These Special Provisions supplement the My Starbucks Rewards Program Terms and Conditions (the “Terms and Conditions”), and constitute an integral part of the Terms and Conditions. These Special Provisions shall prevail if there are any conflicts between the Terms and Conditions and these Special Provisions. Any unaddressed matters under these Special Provisions are subject to the relevant provisions in the Terms and Conditions.
1.3 Unless otherwise provided in these Special Provisions, the relevant terms shall have the same meanings as those in the Terms and Conditions.
1.4 Under these Special Provisions, a “Starbucks Gift Card” refers to a single-purpose commercial prepaid card product issued by Starbucks (Shanghai) Trade Company Limited pursuant to its Rules for Starbucks Single-Purpose Commercial Prepaid Card, as promulgated and amended, from time to time, which can be used to purchase or redeem designated products at designated Starbucks stores within the territory of mainland China.
2. Registration of an MSR Account
2.1 Once you purchase or receive a Starbucks Gift Card at the Say It with Starbucks Platform, you may register an MSR Account within the validity term of the card through the Say It with Starbucks Platform; however, provided that, if you bundled into an existing MSR Account a Starbucks Gift Card you purchased or received at the Say It with Starbucks Platform before, you would no longer be allowed to register a new MSR Account as provided in this clause.
2.2 A WeChat user can register one (and only one) MSR Account as provided in these Special Provisions.
3. Restrictions on the Membership Benefits
Once you register an MSR Account in accordance with these Special Provisions, you will become a Welcome Level member, but you will not be entitled to the “Welcome Level” benefits as provided in the Terms and Conditions. Once you are upgraded to the Green Level or Gold Level in accordance with the Terms and Conditions, you are entitled to the Green Level or Gold Level benefits and treatment as provided in the Terms and Conditions.
4. Miscellaneous
4.1 When you register an MSR Account in accordance with these Special Provisions, you will be deemed to have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by the Terms and Conditions and these Special Provisions. If you disagree to the Terms and Conditions and/or these Special Provisions, please do not register your MSR Account and close the relevant windows.
4.2 These Special Provisions are written in Chinese. The English translation is for reference only and does not have any legal effect.
