Starbucks Coffee Company Signs Agreement with Tingyi Holding Corp. to Expand in China’s $6 Billion

**SEATTLE– March 18, 2015 (HONG KONG – March 19, 2015) –** Starbucks (NASDAQ: SBUX) and Chinese leading food and beverage producer Tingyi Holding Corp. (“Tingyi”) (0322.HK) announced today they have entered into an agreement to manufacture and expand the distribution of Starbucks ready-to-drink (RTD) products throughout mainland China. According to the agreement, Starbucks will be responsible for providing coffee expertise, brand development and future product innovation, and Tingyi will manufacture and sell Starbucks RTD portfolio in China. The RTD coffee and energy category is a $6 billion business, and is projected to grow by 20% over the next three years.1 The agreement leverages the respective strengths of Starbucks and Tingyi to bring the entire Starbucks RTD portfolio to customers in China as well as the ability to innovate specifically for the China market.

Starbucks Celebrates its 500th Store Opening in Mainland China

Belinda Wong, president, Starbucks China, joined Starbucks partners (employees) and customers in Beijing, for this momentous occasion. The Starbucks China 500th store is located at the international departure hall of the Beijing Capital International Airport Terminal 3. It is also Starbucks 7th store in China’s largest and busiest airport. As part of the celebration, Starbucks customers in Beijing were treated to a ‘coffee break’ in appreciation for their loyalty to the Starbucks brand and the company’s continued commitment to growth in China.

Starbucks to Partner with Ai Ni Group to Bring China's Yunnan Coffee to The World

Kunming, China, February 6, 2012 – As part of its ongoing efforts to help elevate the coffee industry in China’s Yunnan Province, Starbucks Coffee Company (NASDAQ: SBUX) announced that it has signed an agreement to form a joint-venture company with Ai Ni Group, one of the province’s most established coffee operators and agricultural companies in Yunnan. The joint-venture company, which will be controlled by Starbucks, will purchase and export high-quality arabica Yunnan coffee beans, as well as operate dry mills in the province.

On Apr 30, 2011, Starbucks held a grand opening ceremony for its forth store in Xiamen, Yundang Road Store.
Starbucks Yundang Road Store is located on the first floor of the skirt building of Marco Polo Xiamen by Yundang Lake. It is at the entrance of Coffee Street, and adjacent to Bailuzhou and the People’s Hall.
